Philanthropy

Philanthropy is an expression of our values, and a way for us to connect with our community beyond the law. In that respect we provide some financial support to the following organisations:

Luke 15 House

  • The Organization: Luke 15 House (website) - The Luke 15 House was founded in 1992. In an atmosphere of acceptance, love, and understanding, men who are in transition from a prison environment, or others who sincerely want a new start in life, are assisted in overcoming the obstacles that once held them back. For many of these men, their lives had been lost to alcohol abuse, drug addictions, and/or crime.
  • Our Involvement: We have witnessed some of our clients making great strides in their recovery with the support of Luke 15 House. We maintain a trusting relationship with Luke 15 House's staff, who assist us in placing our clients at their residence, and advise us of their individual progress.

Info-Cult/Info-Secte

  • The Organization: Info-Secte/Info-Cult (website) - Info-Cult is a non-profit charitable organization founded in 1980 based in Montreal (Quebec, Canada) that offers help and information about cults, new religious movements and related groups and subjects.
  • Our Involvement: in the Summer of 2011, Guillaume Garih researched the topic of freedom of religion, and compared various legal solutions to protect children from cultic/fanatic groups, under the direction of Info-Secte/Info-Cult director Mike Kropveld, Founder and Executive Director of Info-Cult and Carolle Tremblay, Lawyer and President of Info-Cult. In the Summer of 2012, Guillaume had the privilege of presenting his theory on freedom of religion at the annual International Conference of the International Cultic Studies Association. Guillaume argued that freedom of religion, in a free and democratic society, may allow specific and purposeful violations for the purpose of preventing fanaticism:
