This week concludes my first month as a Temporary Articled Student at Lower Mainland Law - Garih, Glouberman. I have had the opportunity to appear in both Provincial and Supreme Court. This has allowed me the chance to conduct bail hearings, guilty pleas, a peace bond disposition, and many adjournments! I have had the pleasure of meeting many Crowns, defence counsel, and fellow articling students along the way. I have also been able to shadow in-house duty counsel in the Surrey Courthouse.
As an addition to the practical work, I have been working on other case files in-office, where I am examining particulars, prepping cross-examination, direct examination, charter notices, and other legal memos. I am so grateful for all that I have learned in this short period, and am looking forward to the rest of this summer! ⚖️
